Mom's 50th Birthday in San Antonio

Mom,

We love you more than words can say. You have taught me what it means to be a woman that pursues Christ in good times and in bad. You have taught me that motherhood is a joyful blessing and not just a duty. I am thankful most of all that you taught me to fear the Lord. You have served your family time and time again with a sacrificial love that is hard to copy in this day and age. Thank you for your chicken pot pie, car rides singing Whitney Houston at the top of our lungs, and our early morning talks out on the sun porch. Please know that this scripture reminds me of you...

Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her.

Love you!

I love this pic, my parents looking all cute at each other. So sweet.

Its been a long time...

Hello Everyone! Alright, so enough peer pressure has caused me to post on our blog and continue posting, I promise. I really didn't realize that it had been nine months. Yes, I knew it had been a while, but WOW. Now I feel this enormous pressure to catch everyone up on what has been going on with us the past 9 months...yikes! So here goes... I am going to recap a few things...

Addie, of course, was born on July 13, 2008. Trev and I are so blessed by her, I cannot even begin to tell you the immense joy she has brought to our lives and how much we have learned about Jesus through having her and trying/learning to raise her!

Trev started working for The Village Church as the Lead Groups Pastor. We were sad to leave our friends at Providence, but the Lord has blessed us through The Village. We miss our house in McKinney...bye-bye house...

Addie had her first trip to the Oasis in Austin, TX. You are not a real Texan until you go and sit on the porch at The Oasis.

Winter Time Fun...

Merry Christmas! This is what the Joy Family looks like at 7 am on Christmas morning...Trev doesn't smile before coffee, I still look like I am sleeping and Addie is wondering why on earth we are pointing a flashing thing at her this early.

Swingin' Baby

Mr. and Mrs. Joy bought Addison a swing so that she could swing alongside her cousins! She absolutely loved it!

Our Little Ballerina

Trev and I had a hard time finding a costume for Addison! Nothing seemed quite right! Then we realized that her Aunt Missy gave her the cutest tutu ever at one of the baby showers! So, she was a ballerina! Enjoy the cutest ballerina pics you will ever see! I know...I am a bit partial!

Girl's Day Out Plus One Sweet Boy

Addison had her first Girl's Day Out! It was Lizzie's birthday so we all went out to breakfast and to get our toes done (Addison was an angel while the big girls got there toes done)! It was a blast to catch up with Ally and Haley who were in from Houston! Ally's son, Micah, hung in there like a champ through all the "girlyness"!
