Its been a long time...

Hello Everyone! Alright, so enough peer pressure has caused me to post on our blog and continue posting, I promise. I really didn't realize that it had been nine months. Yes, I knew it had been a while, but WOW. Now I feel this enormous pressure to catch everyone up on what has been going on with us the past 9 months...yikes! So here goes... I am going to recap a few things...

Addie, of course, was born on July 13, 2008. Trev and I are so blessed by her, I cannot even begin to tell you the immense joy she has brought to our lives and how much we have learned about Jesus through having her and trying/learning to raise her!

Trev started working for The Village Church as the Lead Groups Pastor. We were sad to leave our friends at Providence, but the Lord has blessed us through The Village. We miss our house in McKinney...bye-bye house...

Addie had her first trip to the Oasis in Austin, TX. You are not a real Texan until you go and sit on the porch at The Oasis.

Winter Time Fun...

Merry Christmas! This is what the Joy Family looks like at 7 am on Christmas morning...Trev doesn't smile before coffee, I still look like I am sleeping and Addie is wondering why on earth we are pointing a flashing thing at her this early.

Swingin' Baby

Mr. and Mrs. Joy bought Addison a swing so that she could swing alongside her cousins! She absolutely loved it!

Our Little Ballerina

Trev and I had a hard time finding a costume for Addison! Nothing seemed quite right! Then we realized that her Aunt Missy gave her the cutest tutu ever at one of the baby showers! So, she was a ballerina! Enjoy the cutest ballerina pics you will ever see! I know...I am a bit partial!

Girl's Day Out Plus One Sweet Boy

Addison had her first Girl's Day Out! It was Lizzie's birthday so we all went out to breakfast and to get our toes done (Addison was an angel while the big girls got there toes done)! It was a blast to catch up with Ally and Haley who were in from Houston! Ally's son, Micah, hung in there like a champ through all the "girlyness"!

The Pumpkin Patch

Fall is officially here so Addison and I thought it a MUST to go to the Pumpkin Patch. We had a blast! We met a few of our friends out there and played for a while until all the kiddos were pooped. Addison was just awake long enough for me to snap a few photos, have a blowout, and fall to sleep. Such is the life of a baby! Funny story of the day...I am crazy allergic to fire ants...so I decided to stand in a pile as we were getting back into the car. A funny thing happens when I get stung by fire ants... besides the normal puffiness, I get uncontrollably itchy on my head, hands, feet, and arm pits. Not just a minor itch, I mean absolutely unbearable. So needless to say I looked like an ape for the rest of the day itching my arm pits and scratching my head. Lovely, I know...

Moving and More...

Bye-Bye House! You were the best first house ever! (This was the day the sign went up in the yard, I have to admit, I got a little emotional...I know hard to believe, me, emotional...never!)

You gotta love those polka dots!

We went to the doctor the week before last for Addison's two-month appointment. Yikes! Shots galore! But, she was a champ and didn't cry for too long. Right after Addison was born the doctor had us coming in for weight checks. As a new mom, I was freaked out! Now, our sweet baby girl is a healthy 13 lbs!! We are so thankful! And what in the world was I worried about?

On another note, Trev and I are in the process of selling our house here in Mckinney. We will be moving to the Flower Mound/Lewisville area. Trev recently took a job as an area pastor for the Village Church. It is always hard moving away from a ministry and a church family that we love so much! We were so blessed by the relationships that we have had here, and know that we will continue to be close with so many of our friends. The Lord has humbled us beyond measure through the decision to move. We have learned so much in the process. Change is sharpening and we know that the Lord will continue to guide us through this next season of life in Flower Mound/Lewisville. We are incredibly excited about this next part of the journey. I cannot wait to see what is ahead. It makes me smile thinking about what is to come in this new place and ministry. Trevor and I both feel like we have learned and have grown so much in this new place! There is a true joy when you rely completely on the Lord for the next step! We find peace in knowing that His plan is perfect!
